When I first started marketing over 10 years ago, blogging and having an SEO-optimized blog was the key to success. Google was the main source of traffic for businesses, and I remember taking countless courses on blogging, keyword research, content marketing, and WordPress hosting. I did everything I could to run a successful blog, and it worked amazingly well…until it didn’t.

You see, social media platforms started taking over as the primary traffic driver for many businesses. They changed consumer behaviour and content preferences, forcing me to pivot. You can also buy e-mail databases of people or companies most likely to be interested in your product or services. Only use the e-mail addresses of those who agreed to be marketed via e-mail.

To summarize, there is quite a bit to learn about internet marketing. Do not be overwhelmed though, because there is a lot to take in. Depending on your situation, either your continued success or the start of a new challenge is dependent solely on your willingness to learn and also the personal commitment that you invest.
