You can build your business to be able To work from anywhere including from a Beach if you want to just by making sure You get these five things right I'm Going to show you exactly how to build Your business from the beach except that The beach where I am right now kind of Sucks and it's not like I'm going to Travel 3000 Miles just for a video right Right if you love traveling a sense of Freedom or just want to go somewhere Sunny for the winter don't let work stop You do both you just need a laptop and An internet connection that's it you Used to need a phone but everybody's so Used to using Zoom these days that the Only thing I really use my phone for Anymore is texting friends and family And maybe taking a picture and maybe the Odd social media binge session the only Exception to this is if you're going to Be doing video work in which case you're Obviously going to need a video camera And a microphone and a laptop that's Powerful enough to do video editing on Then again if all you're creating is Short form vertical videos like tick Tocks or Instagram reels or YouTube Shorts well then your phone is more than Capable enough to obviously take all the Video but also do all of the editing Right inside using the apps but Something even more important than Getting the work done that you need to
Do wherever you are is actually showing And telling and proving to your boss or Your clients or your customers that You're actually doing the work that You're supposed to be doing which leads Me to the point on asynchronous Communication ever been in the middle of Something and suddenly realized that you Had them meeting or an appointment that You had to check into in the next few Minutes It's not fun after all one of the Biggest perks of living the digital Nomad lifestyle is the time Freedom the Ability to do what you want when you Want and the key to making that happen Is asynchronous communication which is Any kind of communication that doesn't Happen in real time like email where you Don't necessarily expect an immediate Response this also works with video apps Though like Loom or volley or with audio Apps like Voxer or slack audio the key Is no scheduled phone calls no live Video conferencing and no in-person or Virtual meetings of any kind which Completely frees up your calendar to do Whatever you want of course to do this You're going to need to have the next Piece of the puzzle in place which is an Libm obvious fact you can't build a Business from the beach if you're stuck Sitting at a desk all day the desk is Going to get sand in it the sand is
Going to get desk in it it's a mess This means that any business model that Requires you to be there physically in Person is obviously a no-go same with Anything that's going to require you to Respond within minutes to any incoming Requests even proven digital Nomad Business models like coaching and Consulting and Professional Services can Be tricky that is unless you incorporate An element of asynchronous communication So you don't need to be chained to your Phone or to your desk or to your laptop All day the good news though is that This still leaves you with plenty of Available business models that all fall Under the category of the location Independent Business model or libm first There's my personal favorite which is Productized Services productized Services are standardized services that Are sold just like products with clearly Defined deliverables and pricing so the Customer knows exactly what they're Going to get the beauty of this approach Is that rather than customizing Everything you lay out exactly what the Customer is going to get and at what Price point which allows you to sell the Service over and over again with very Little additional work there are no Proposals to send no customizations to Make make and no questions to answer That can't be answered ahead of time
Through a more detailed sales page or a Really fleshed out FAQ or frequently Asked questions section another powerful Option is creating an online course or Online Workshop or online training of Any kind though what most people won't Tell you is that the online course Business model is one of the hardest Ones to make profitable and they're Usually best suited for creators and Marketers and entrepreneurs who already Have a really large following or are Comfortable creating just massive Amounts of content and then of course we Have the classic internet marketing Options like affiliate marketing and Drop Shipping and e-commerce of any kind And there is of course freelancing or Providing some kind of outsourced Service where you're going to work with A client but as long as you establish The deadline ahead of time it allows you To get the work done anywhere any way You can provided that you meet the Target date of course to make any of These work you're also going to need the Next element which is a little something That I like to call Ronco oven marketing The year was 1998.
