Digital marketing can get you anything You want in this video I am going to Give you my opinion on how to do that in The past few years I have done a lot of In-person trainings in digital marketing Institutes delivered lectures at Universities and done some talks and This gave me an opportunity to interact With a lot of people who are just Starting in digital marketing and the Most common question or concern in these People you'll be surprised to know Whether it's the right time to start Digital marketing or in 10 years will we Have digital marketing jobs will AI take All our jobs I want to tell all of them If I get an opportunity that you got it All wrong you're asking the wrong Question the right question is once we Learn digital marketing what next Once You learn digital marketing go and grab Anything you want you have to treat Digital marketing as an enabler and not A goal before I explain that to you if You're new here my name is obese Ahmed And I have been a digital marketer for Last nine years in these nine years I've Worked on publishing side of the Business I work for tech companies and I Work for advertising side as well I work For agencies as well as client sites now Back to our video the problem with these Kind of people who ask these kind of Questions is they got it all wrong
Because they think the objective of them Learning digital marketing is to secure A job and spend their whole life Justifying the salary hikes the Promotions I'll give you some examples To make my point clear here two years Back I was working in an agency in Dubai And I got a call from someone very close To me and they basically asked me that They have an acquaintance and they want Me to provide an internship opportunity We didn't need an intern at that point Of time so that my boss told me as far As it's not a paid internship it's okay But I was a bit hesitant because I don't Like people working without any stipend And the moment she arrived in our office And her handbag would have easily costed Her salary of an executive or two Salaries of an executive in my team and I was like okay probably this person Does not need money I don't know why They need internship maybe they just Want to learn and then she stayed in my Team for like seven months she learned Google ads she learned Facebook ads she Learned how to connect analytics Basically how to create an um digital Marketing ad Tech setup for uh E-commerce business and after that she Told me if I can speak to the head of Social media because she wants to learn A bit about content and social media Marketing she spent three months there
So overall she was there for a year now This happened like maybe four years ago And now she owns a very big e-commerce Store where she she sells Muslim women's Um clothing and it's a very successful Business she generates a lot of revenue From that her passion was probably to Start a business or design but she Learned digital marketing and used it as An enabler another example I would like To give you is of another acquaintance He's a friend now he used to work for One of my clients the client was a real Estate aggregator listening aggregator And with years of experience he got so Experienced in real estate market that He would know what kind of creators will Work for an Off plan project for a Village project for cheap apartments not Just creatives he learned so much about Landing pages he understood that how a Landing page should be designed for real Estate clients he understood the Audience he understood how and where to Get the audience he told me this story One day a small real estate broker Agency reached out to him via a friend's Reference and asked him a big developer Was launching a project so they said can You do a campaign for us worked with That client and he generated them a lot Of leads and they just got a lot of Sales they gave him whatever was agreed Upon as well as some bonus now fast
Forward they referred someone else to Him he started working with multiple Clients within a year he quit his job And he started working as a freelancer With all these real estate agents now he Works with all those real estate agents And that too on commission basis Revenue Sharing basis so he tells them if you Sell 10 houses and from the Builder you Get a commission of let's say one Million Dirhams you have to pay me 20 so He created a business out of it and that Too unconsciously he didn't know this Part see my point is this most of us if Not all we want to make career we want To work in our life because we want to Create a wall for us or our loud ones so That no financial problems can pass Through that wall we want to make money I don't know of any a lot of other Careers which have as much capability as Digital marketing where you can make Literally any amount of money but now You will ask me okay this is all fancy This is all good but how do we do it as A digital marketer have to keep one goal In mind you have to strive for one thing Acquiring skills so that someday you are Able to completely define and lay down a Marketing online marketing strategy for A brand and be capable of getting it Implemented and it's not a very Difficult thing to achieve and it's in Your control once you reach that point
And once you have that goal in mind you Will never again worry about will AI Take all the digital marketing jobs I Get a lot of messages emails I meet some People who say okay we have been working In digital marketing for a few years but We feel stuck there are no promotions That is the reason if they also have This mentality they have this thing in Mind they will not care about they will Not feel stuck because they have a goal In mind and they'll work towards it some People ask me okay I'm getting this job Opportunity I'm working for an agency Shall I go to the client side or things Like that you don't need to ask me you Will get answers to all your questions Whether you should change that job or Not because you will evaluate everything In those systems trust me it might look Simple but this is what you should Strive for and once you reach that point It will open a lot of doors for you you Can go to businesses and tell them okay I am going to work on your marketing Strategy implement it small businesses Give me a stake in your business I know People who have done that you can Literally start something of your own on In current world starting an online Business is you have millions of options And the most important thing to grow any Online business nowadays is marketing I Have seen how marketing can make a
Difference but the catch here is again That you have to work in this field for A while you have to do a job for a while It will help you to acquire these skills Faster have versatile skill set as well As the good thing is you will understand Businesses I think I use digital Marketing as an enabler too like my one Of my passions was training because I Was a training in my career for two and A half years and I really like trainings And I used digital marketing to create a Successful online business I have Courses I have digital products and I Don't think I would have had the same Trajectory of a successful online Business if I didn't know digital Marketing my other passions I exploited Was I wanted to travel the world my Definition of traveling is going to a Place living there working there Interacting with people for a while and I think digital marketing enabled that Thing for me as well I have been working For nine years and Berlin where I'm Working now is like the ninth City I'm Working in because it's such a global Skill that if you know digital marketing You can work anywhere I have worked in Arabic speaking countries I have worked In Germany which is a german-speaking Country so if anything The takeaways from this video are number One you have to focus on one goal being
